WHY DO CHELSEA HAVE 3 ON THEIR CHELSEA. Chelsea may have been one of the wealthiest clubs for a long time, but their situation has changed since Roman Abramovich's assets were frozen by the government. Find out here why the Blues continue to have the Three sponsor in their jersey.   When it comes to the richest clubs in world soccer,  Chelsea  may have been one of the first teams to come up to mind -  until now . The Blues have enjoyed a long period of wealth under billionaire  owner  Roman Abramovich , but  the outlook has been different  over the last few weeks. Things have changed for the  Premier League  club following the Russia invasion of Ukraine, as the british government sanctioned Abramovich by  freezing his assets  due to his ties to  Vladimir Putin .   CHELSEA FC REVENUE FROM JERSEY SPONSORSHIP FROM 2009/10 TO 2021/22.   The statistic shows the revenue Chelsea FC generated from its jersey sponsorship deal from the 2009/10 seasons to the 2021/22 season. The Chelsea 2009/10 Home Shirt is the latest in a long line of blue shirts that the club have worn. Chelsea have always worn blue shirts since they were founded in 1905, changing from light blue to royal blue around 1912. Manager Tommy Docherty changed the kit in the 1960s when he changed the shorts to blue, and Chelsea wore their distinctive all blue shirt in the 1964/65 season. Chelsea’s nickname of the Blues directly comes from the colour of their football shirts and come Saturday afternoons at Stamford Bridge the stadium will be awash with blue. Chelsea’s 1972 song called “Blue Is the Colour” also pays direct homage to the colour of the shirts.  Chelsea were able to generate £9.9million sales on Jersey in 2009/10 seasons. In terms of kit sponsorship, Chelsea...

WHY IS THREE STILL SPONSORING CHELSEA. The mobile phone company Three is expected to remain as Chelsea's main shirt sponsor next season, according to reports. You could recall back in March, ,  Three  confirmed their temporary suspension of the club and asked for their logo to be removed from kits following the sanctioning of former owner  Roman  Abramovich  for his links to the  Russian-state  and Vladimir Putin as a result of the war in Ukraine. “In light of the government’s recently announced sanctions, we have requested Chelsea Football Club temporarily suspend our sponsorship of the club, including the removal of our brand from shirts and around the stadium until further notice," the statement read from Three. “We recognise that this decision will impact the many Chelsea fans who follow their team passionately. However, we feel that given the circumstances, and the government sanction that is in place, it is the right thing to do.” ...

HISTORY OF CHELSEA FC’S JERSEY COLOR.     ‘Blue is the color, football is the game’ goes the song the Chelsea squad and fans. Ever since its humble beginnings in 1904, when London businessman Gus Mears founded the club after failing to convince Fulham to take up residence in his newly-purchased Stamford Bridge athletics stadium, Chelsea have worn blue. However, the blue jerseys the fledgling team initially turned out in were quite different from the kind of shirts worn by the likes of Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and David Luiz today. Not least because of the advances in the technology of sporting attire and the prevalence of sponsor logos on modern football tops, but also because the blue Chelsea originally turned out in was much paler, lighter, almost turquoise shade called ‘Eton blue.’   The simple design of the Eton blue tops, with their round neck and button-up collars, was combined with plain white shorts and black socks. This is how Chelsea co...
